Bringing a beautiful baby into the world is no small act. It’s not just physically exhausting, it also takes a serious toll on your mental health. Unfortunately, many women don’t feel comfortable talking about the struggles they face. That’s why I’m here to help. My name is Taylor Alexander and I'm the founder of Empowering Mamas. I am a mother of two, a certified postpartum doula, trained in perinatal mood disorders, an NLP practitioner, and a certified life coach.

When I got pregnant with my first child, I was completely stunned. My husband and I had just gotten married while he was in the military, and he had just been scheduled to be deployed for when I was due. That meant I had to give birth to our son without my husband. After my baby boy’s birth, my world was shaken. I developed postpartum depression that was so severe, I nearly took my own life as a result. \n\nI realized I needed to use my pain for a greater purpose. It is my life’s passion to show new moms that what they are dealing with is not unusual and that there is hope! Through my course “Breaking The Silence” I love to be able to educate and empower women through their journey and see them come out the other side stronger than ever. If you’re in need of professional guidance from someone who knows first-hand how you feel, I would be honored to be that support on your postpartum path.
